Strana.ua (The Country) is a Ukrainian news site founded in 2016. Articles are published in Russian only.1
The website has been shut down.2
Strana.ua always had a tense relationship with those in power, under Petro Oleksiyovych Poroshenko as well as under Volodymyr Oleksandrovych Zelensky. The authorities have searched the editorial offices multiple times. Opponents describe the site as pro-Russian and financed by Russians. 3
