"But everyone knew her as Nancy"

When I started this Substack I went over 100 days without missing a post. One person noticed (I was thrilled) and I explained the real reason was I got a puppy and wished I could send a picture (in the comments) and then I realized I could put the puppy picture here.

Her name is Nancy which was the name she was given at birth and I didn’t change it. She is a Boston Terrier. For Democratic Friends I can say she is named after Nancy Pelosi. For Republican friends I can say she is named after Nancy Reagan. For librarian friends I can say she is named after Nancy Drew.

But, my goodness, why didn’t I think of Nancy & Sluggo? (Thanks, Marci!)

Or maybe she is named after the girl of Rocky Racoon’s fancy:
