I will be useful to have this collection to remind the future of the foolishness of putting your faith in computing machines instead of the collective wisdom of Nature.

Why the hell couldn't Paul Allen just donate these items to a museum? He and his estate don't need the money. This is sick.

The articles said they were going to give the proceeds to charity but didn't say which one. I think his idea was that the museum would be there for people but after COVID the idea seems to have faded. It would be interesting to find out.

But maybe the Paul Allen of 2100 will be collecting "classic" AI art, as many paintings lie in the rubble of our last civilization. Thanks for the article Kathleen!
