Dr McCook, have you ever been to the Vatican Library? I have read a lot on their website and the scholars who are permitted to do research there. Sounds like a dream adventure to me!
The more he saw over the years as a Jesuit the more incremental changes he made in the Jesuit style and beliefs! He definitely wanted a “missionary conversion” within the Curia, emphasizing that the P.E.’s primary service is to proclaim the Gospel and serve both the Pope and the world’s bishops, not to act as an intermediary or a power structure above local churches. I would guess that everything, in Pope Francis’ mind, came under that heading. I know for years, local church around the world had a written message from him in the bulletin every Sunday!

No, I have not --only virtually. I thought interesting that the Praedicate Evangelium incorporates the library and culture.
