As I read it there are a lot of federal buildings that get reviewed. Yes this was real estate, but also the protests last year make me think it was a target. where there are federal facilities there are federal jobs. Of course, like the Obama library it could all be digitized but that is slower than people think. On this one the tribal concerns seem impt but where were the protests when Alaska archives moved? Meanwhile, public discourse is focused on more important issues, such as the awful racism inherent in the name of Washington, DC's, NFL franchise.
In reading this I learned they moved the Alaska archives in 2014. Did not find many complaints about that.
