I had a non-fungible token once, but it got funged anyway. I had lost the paperwork, so I couldn't put in an insurance claim. I'm surprised that a lady of your sophistication is willing to discuss funging in so public a space.

It is difficult to find fun things relating to First Amendment and Censorship. I looked at a lot of Birkin Bag sites last night. It's really a huge sub-culture or maybe uber culture of bags.

I would very much like the bag but... too expensive. I agree that the NFT was copyright infringement....but I also think it was kind of petty to go after them.

In buzzing around looking to write this I found many sellers.. you could get that bag for $15K if you look around. It was a break from being serious to look at all the pizzaz. I agree what real harm did the NFTs do? But I'm not a lawyer.

I remember in Gilmore Girls when Logan gave Rory a Birkin bag, and Rory’s grandma viewed it as being tantamount to a marriage proposal. Now I understand why!

And I agree that it was petty of Hermès to go after this artist.

I think I missed something in the world of popular culture. But I'm in a very non cosmo place. Now I bet I will see refs to the Birkin Bag everywhere.

The video on the history of the BB I included....I think Ghislane Maxwell is in it as someone carrying one, but it is just a flash.

Pretty clear-cut case, as the artist did nothing to comment or extend on the imagery, as Warhol did with Campbell’s soup cans. And I wonder if that artist’s last name means he’s on a trust fund from one of the world’s wealthiest families.

It really is a NY thing, isn't it? I think the artist made up the name.
