Collectors, bless them all. Quite enjoyed the efforts of "Jen the Zen" to prepare the descriptions. More at their website https://www.biblioctopus.com/. I confess my love for books and those that create them. Are all rare book dealers as creative? (I'm not in the group that has the money to be among the anointed).
I once worked with an FBI Agent on a double agent operation who had transferred from kidnapping. to counterintelligence, He told a story about pursuing a kidnapper into an underground garage, where he closed his eyes and aimed in the general direction, and wound up shattering the man's ankle. He was celebrated as a hero, and congratulated on his excellent shooting.
He finally gave up telling the story of closing his eyes. People wanted a hero, justified or not.

I like to read the catalogs, too. There is a wonderful journal I subscribe to--The Book Collector https://www.thebookcollector.co.uk/
I listen to their podcasts: https://www.thebookcollector.co.uk/podcasts
But I am not a collector. I like to go to libraries and see what they have.
Murder, last gasp of the desperate man.
