Happy St Paddy's Day!
I love some of these quotes:
"Poetry is what we do to break bread with the dead." – Seamus Heaney
"I never turned to drink. It seemed to turn to me." - Brendan Behan
Second only to Christmas (aka Yule/Winter Solstice) St Patrick's Day is my favorite holiday. I don't do much, just wear green, down a few beers, and eat boiled dinner, but it feels sort of like coming home to me. The few generations between me and my Irish ancestors in the Mother Country seem to evaporate on this day.
Happy St. Pat's Kathleen! TPAM is amazing and this post is making me think a Guinness is in order! Later :-)
