Good question. There is almost nothing written about this library in English. The website on Wikipedia linked to the Wayback machine instead of the current site (fixed that). Because the transliteration of Russian names is all over the place it was difficult to pull up any records. I had to use a translate site to search and even then got strange results.This, to me, is something in plain sight that isn't too usable unless one has expertise in the language and cataloging procedures. one of the things I do as a side to writing this substack is try to correct Wikifpdia as I go.
