Casino chip collecting is part of numismatic collecting and referred to as exonumia collecting. The Casino Chips & Gaming Tokens Collectors Club was founded in 1988.
They have an annual convention. In 2022 the theme is Deuces Wild. —South Point Hotel and Casino in Las Vegas, Thursday thru Saturday, June 16-18, 2022.
There will be an auction of over 800 Lots of Gambling Memorabilia on March 17-18, 2022. The first day will feature Part II of the collection of the late Robert Eisenstadt, who amassed thousands of casino and gambling chips including numerous rarities and uncommon sets that will be offered fresh to the market.
In addition, desirable decks of playing cards such as transformation decks, early American decks, and uncommon advertising will be offered.
