When I read Former People the author explained that of course the thousands of deposed aristocrats were of no interest to anyone given how their life styles for centuries had abused the serfs. So there are few overviews.Then I read about the Galitzine Library which after the fall of the Soviet Union was created by the widow of a son of one of the escaped families--his title, "Prince" of course nothing when he became a refugee but they used it in exile. Libraries lead us everywhere.
