Has there ever been a systemic approach to documenting the methodology? This sounds to me to be worth far more than another study about shrimp on treadmills.
I think this flood got the preservation world moving-- in the U.S. the NEDCC--https://www.nedcc.org/ but everytime there is a disaster we find people have not prepared.
