Because it had been exhibited in NY the Antiquities team from the NY DA's office tracked it down (I had to read a lot to figure out why the initial press release came from NY).

It sure would be nice if so called 'experts' only spoke of things they actually understand, instead of continuing to promote these ignorant myths they have created to fill in their massive blanks of 'understanding.' Bottom line? Having a degree, or any other credential for that matter, does not make you smart.
