It's nice to know that these books are being preserved. I hope many of them will be given to libraries where more people will be able to see and appreciate them.
When I was a student at the U of C, there was an annual prize for book collections, sponsored by Mr. Brooker. Every year the prizewinning collections were put on display at one of the university libraries. When I first heard about the prize, I thought, “Huh. Weird.” But then I saw one of the collections and thought, “A STUDENT did this? Huh. Cool!” Thank you for sharing more informations about Mr. Brooker, who seems like a lovely and interesting person!
Some rich dude with more money than 90% of the population at large will buy it because..... just because he can. What's money got to do with it; got to do with it.
Is there anything you don't know?
A friend sent the news abt the auction. Aldine books is all I needed to follow.
You make it sound so easy.

My hope, too! Now if I just had $250K around I could spare. :)
