"Handwriting which is both pleasant to look at and easy to read is now a very rare thing."

I'm a lefty and my handwriting has always been, well not something that can, or maybe should, be read. It comes from having to write backwards. But I still believe that even in this "modern" age that a well written, beautiful hand, conveys care, comfort and intimacy. All things that are needs and sorely missing from modern society. A beautiful online card from Jackie Larson with a loving message make will brighten my day. But a beautiful 2 word handwritten note saying "Love You" with touch my soul
Handwriting is a lost art. I always envied those who had pretty handwriting, but mine was so bad that I abandoned cursive (except for signing my name) in favor of printing around age 19 or so. My style of printing at least used to be at once attractive and legible. Now, in old age, nothing I hand write looks either attractive or legible, but I guess it matters little at this point.
